Breaking News: Alagen Joins GMI
A few months ago, Alagen celebrated turning 10. Today, we are thrilled to share with you our next exciting chapter. Alagen has joined GMI, an end-to-end technology partner that mirrors our customer-centric approach and offers a wide spectrum of technology services!
The opportunity to join forces and bring our cybersecurity capabilities and expertise to GMI was too good to pass up. Founder and CEO Gregg Davis, now GMI’s Senior Vice President of Delivery, acknowledged the move as a perfect fit. We were looking to “accelerate our entrance into greater populations of customers and GMI was looking to to accelerate its presence into cybersecurity. Strategically, Alagen represents a high-quality brand for them to enter more deliberately into this space.”
GMI CEO Simer Mayo agrees. “In our increasingly connected world, cybersecurity has become mission critical for our customers and organizations across the globe. Alagen brings deep security expertise coupled with a customer-centric focus that positions us to be a leader in IT security solutions and provide a major economic impact with the creation of technology jobs.” Simer added that the acquisition enables the company to immediately provide comprehensive cybersecurity services to GMI customers, helping deliver top-notch solutions for all their technology needs.
To achieve that vision, this is the third acquisition for GMI in the past six months. Alagen’s contribution is deep experience and expertise across cybersecurity services including strategic advisory, architecture and integration, threat and vulnerability assessment, and 24/7 security monitoring. GMI’s other existing areas of expertise include network infrastructure, collaboration, and managed network and desktop services.
Equally important to both company leaders was cultural approach. Simer and Gregg met through YPO (Young Presidents Organization) a few years ago and quickly recognized similar commitments to customer needs and providing solutions that fit. They also admired the value each placed in their teams, and both organization’s dedication to community service.
